THE new season\u2019s fixture list\u00a0had\u00a0begun to take shape for both Greenock<\/a> Juniors and Port Glasgow<\/a> after the draw\u00a0for the first of the 2025-26 cup competitions wasmade at the weekend.<\/p>\n

The West of Scotland Football League\u2019s AGM on Saturday included the draws for the first and second rounds of the West of Scotland Cup.<\/p>\n

In the former tournament, now sponsored by Strathclyde Demolition, Greenock Juniors were handed a bye in round one \u2013 but the Ravenscraig men could hardly have wished for a tougher test in round two, with Gary Fleming\u2019s squad set to make the short trip down the coast to Barrfields to face a Largs<\/a> Thistle side who reached last season\u2019s final before losing out to Auchinleck Talbot at Broadwood.<\/p>\n

Port Glasgow Juniors will also be on the road in their opening tie, travelling to Moor Park to face Lanark United, with a second round tie at home to either Kello Rovers or Vale of Clyde awaiting the winners.<\/p>\n

(Image: alex craig) No dates have yet been set for the first or second round ties, with the full WOSFL fixture list due to be published later in the summer, along with the draws for the Scottish Junior Cup and the South Challenge Cup.<\/p>\n

Saturday\u2019s AGM also saw confirmation that East Kilbride<\/a> YM have been accepted from the Scottish amateur ranks to join the WOSFL\u2019s Fourth Division \u2013 the only new addition to the WOSFL ranks for the 2025-26 campaign.<\/p>\n
