Eight counties in England are set to escape being seared by temperatures of 30C and above when a mini heatwave arrives this month.<\/p>\n

The Met Office has warned of ‘brief hot spells’ and a ‘little above average temperatures<\/a>‘ in the time period from June 24 to July 8.<\/p>\n

Weather <\/a>maps from WX Charts has shown the temperature breaking into the 30s on Tuesday, June 24.<\/p>\n

Temperature <\/a>maps have turned red for much of England that day.<\/p>\n

The Midlands, the south and south east of the country are particularly hit, with 30C temperatures <\/a>and above spreading across counties in these regions.<\/p>\n

WX Charts have revealed the areas of the UK where ‘heatwave-like temperatures’ are expected -Credit:WX Charts<\/p>\n

A maximum of 34C has been predicted for the capital of London.<\/p>\n

In Birmingham<\/a>, the West Midlands, we could see temperatures peak at 31C.<\/p>\n

The heatwave <\/a>threshold in England is usually between 25C and 28C but temperatures must stay at these levels for three days – meaning June 24 could be a mini heatwave.<\/p>\n

However eight counties in England are set to escape 30C and above heat on that day.<\/p>\n

These are Cornwall and Devon in the South West, Lancashire and Cumbria in the North West and North Yorkshire, Durham, Tyne and Wear and Northumberland in the North East.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in its long range forecast from June 24 to July 8, the Met Office said: “High pressure may still be largely dominant at first, maintaining mainly dry and warm weather, with variable cloud amounts.<\/p>\n

“However, although details are uncertain, late June and early July looks like becoming more changeable, with spells of rain or showers probable for all parts at times, some of which could be heavy and thundery.<\/p>\n
