{"id":171541,"date":"2025-06-09T23:56:09","date_gmt":"2025-06-09T23:56:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/171541\/"},"modified":"2025-06-09T23:56:09","modified_gmt":"2025-06-09T23:56:09","slug":"tottenham-hotspur-step-up-pursuit-of-antoine-semenyo-as-he-leaves-door-open-for-man-united-move-man-united-news-and-transfer-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/171541\/","title":{"rendered":"Tottenham Hotspur &#8220;step up&#8221; pursuit of Antoine Semenyo as he leaves door open for Man United move &#8211; Man United News And Transfer News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t0<\/p>\n<p>Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly turned up the heat in their hunt for Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, but Manchester United remain in the race for his signature.<\/p>\n<p>Strengthening the attack is United\u2019s main focus this summer, with the club not only targeting a new striker but also seeking reinforcements in the number 10 role.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, United announced the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers and work is underway to get a deal for Brentford\u2019s Bryan Mbeumo over the line.<\/p>\n<p>Another name on United\u2019s radar is Antoine Semenyo, who impressed during the 2024\/25 campaign with Bournemouth, recording a career-best 11 goals and six assists across 37 Premier League appearances.<\/p>\n<p>In April, <a href=\"https:\/\/thepeoplesperson.com\/2025\/04\/14\/david-ornstein-ruben-amorim-is-very-fond-of-antoine-semenyo-292948\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">David Ornstein of The Athletic<\/a> relayed that Ruben Amorim is a big admirer of Semenyo. In fact, Ornstein said that Amorim is \u201cvery fond\u201d of the Ghana international.<\/p>\n<p>Primarily a right-winger, Semenyo offers impressive versatility, capable of playing across all three forward positions. Comfortable with both feet, he could seamlessly slot into the number 10 role or operate as a wing-back within Amorim\u2019s favoured 3-4-2-1 formation.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/thepeoplesperson.com\/2025\/05\/19\/man-united-have-their-answer-as-bournemouth-set-70-million-price-for-antoine-semenyo-294237\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previous report<\/a> covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Bournemouth value Semenyo at \u00a370m.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to United, the player has also been linked to Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
