Arsenal and Man City have been left reeling after Liverpool agreed terms over new contracts for Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.<\/strong><\/p>\n Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider\u2019s Inside Track podcast<\/a><\/strong>, senior correspondent Pete O\u2019Rourke revealed that the Reds\u2019 title rivals had hoped both star players would leave Anfield in what would have been a huge blow.<\/p>\n After a strong first season under Arne Slot\u2019s guidance, Liverpool will be looking to improve on their success next term and have been boosted by their contract breakthroughs.<\/p>\n Should Salah and Van Dijk have failed to agree new deals, they would have been forced into the transfer market to sign top-class replacements.<\/p>\n This comes after Trent
