Vietnam is France’s second largest trading partner among the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) after Singapore, according to the former\u2019s Ministry of Industry and Trade.<\/p>\n
France is Vietnam’s fourth biggest trading partner in the European Union (EU), after the Netherlands, Germany and Italy.<\/p>\n
Two-way trade last year increased by 12.9 per cent year on year (YoY) to $5.4 billion, of which Vietnam’s goods exports to France were estimated at $3.4 billion\u2014up by 7.5 per cent YoY.<\/p>\n

In the first four months this year, bilateral trade grew by 9.7 per cent YoY to nearly $1.8 billion, a domestic news agency reported citing data from the ministry.<\/p>\n
Vietnam’s key export items include footwear, garments and textiles.<\/p>\n
