Jennifer\u2019s Body <\/strong>star Amanda Seyfried<\/strong> recently kept it coy<\/a> regarding whether the long-awaited sequel was finally happening. Variety\u2019s<\/a> \u201cActor on Actor\u201d series brings confirmation from Seyfried that a sequel is in the works, and touches on co-star Megan Fox\u2019s<\/strong> involvement.<\/p>\n

Seyfried, who plays protagonist Needy in director Karyn Kusama<\/strong> and writer Diablo Cody\u2019s<\/strong> teen horror movie, sat down with her Jennifer\u2019s Body co-star Adam Brody<\/strong> to chat about their careers and history together. The pair first met on set of the Kusama-directed horror movie.<\/p>\n

In Jennifer\u2019s Body, a newly-possessed high school cheerleader turns into a succubus who specializes in killing her male classmates, leaving it up to her best friend to put an end to the horror.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re making another [\u201cJennifer\u2019s Body\u201d]. Are you going to do it?\u201d Seyfried asks Brody in the exchange.<\/p>\n

Brody, who played the villainous singer of the Satanic band Low Shoulder, replied, \u201cI heard. I wasn\u2019t contacted. I died [in the first one].\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/strong>So did Megan Fox, and I\u2019m not doing it without her,\u201d Seyfried retorts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fox played the titular character, Jennifer, who was sacrificed by Low Shoulder for fame only to return a man-eating demon.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s interesting about this brief snippet in their interview is that not only is Seyfried taking a more definitive stance on whether a sequel is in development but she\u2019s adamant about Fox returning. While it seems less likely that Brody\u2019s minor supporting character would return, it\u2019s too early to tell.<\/p>\n

Writer\u00a0Diablo Cody<\/strong>\u00a0told Bloody Disgusting<\/a> last year that she wants to make a sequel. \u201cI am not done with\u00a0Jennifer\u2019s Body\u2026 I need to partner with people who believe it in as much as I do and that hasn\u2019t really happened yet. I need someone to believe in it who has a billion dollars.\u201d Cody also\u00a0stated<\/a> that\u00a0Lisa Frankenstein\u00a0<\/strong>is set in the same universe as\u00a0Jennifer\u2019s Body.<\/p>\n
