James Beadle has confirmed he is heading back to the Championship \u2013 with Birmingham City<\/a> expected to welcome one of England\u2019s most highly-rated goalkeepers.<\/p>\n Brighton stopper Beadle is widely expected to join Blues on his next loan venture after 18 months in the Championship with Sheffield Wednesday.<\/p>\n Before he starts to think about next season, Beadle will keep goal for England under-21s at this summer\u2019s European Championships in Slovakia. The 20-year-old has his sights set on a place in the England senior team once he completes the Championship and makes the step up to the Premier League.<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s definitely a big goal for me to try and break into that senior side but it starts at club level so hopefully I can do that in the Championship this year and in the near future be in the Premier League and then hopefully get a call-up,\u201d Beadle told the Daily Mail.<\/a><\/p>\n Beadle made 57 appearances in the Championship for Wednesday, including 38 last term, but he lost his place to 19-year-old Pierce Charles at the end of the season.<\/p>\n Danny Rohl made the change after Beadle received criticism for some errors and the young goalkeeper has since taken stock.<\/p>\n \u201cTowards the end of my time at Wednesday I don’t think I really performed to my best for whatever reason,\u201d Beadle explained.<\/p>\n \u201cNow after taking a step back I understand why and in this tournament and looking ahead I know what I need to do to be at my best more consistently.<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes you’ve got to take a step back to properly look at it and that’s when I came out of the team.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was really hard to take at the time but when you take a step back and realise how I was actually performing, it is what it is.<\/p>\n \u201cI don’t really go on social media or anything, I try to live in my own bubble, but at the time when results aren’t going well and you aren’t performing at the level you can you know you’re going to get criticised.
