Whether you have a dog of your own or prefer to scroll through endless canine videos on social media, it doesn’t take long to see how loving and affectionate dogs can be. Even cats can be cuddly<\/a> with their favorite people, but did you know that birds can be, too?<\/p>\n

Folks tend to think of pet birds as talkative, independent, and even sassy, but on June 3, one Umbrella Cockatoo<\/a> proved that feathered friends can be affectionate, too. Chet would be her dad’s shadow if she could, but sometimes she prefers to cuddle with him like a human baby instead.<\/p>\n

Just wait until you see them! This is the kind of love that every human and animal deserves.<\/p>\n

This is truly priceless! I could watch this on repeat over and over again, and I don’t think it would ever get old.<\/p>\n

The way Chet tucks her head gently into her dad’s chest melts my heart, though I can only imagine how swoon-worthy this moment must be for the bird’s dad<\/a>. Just like a commenter named Diana said, “cuddling with your animals is the best!”<\/p>\n

Even though I’ve never seen a bird act quite as affectionate as Chet, it’s important to remember that birds, and all animals, show love in many different ways. Perhaps it’s a cat leaving ‘gifts’ on your porch or a bird running to you with complaints<\/a>\u2014you just have to know where to look!<\/p>\n

Bonding with parrots <\/a>like this Umbrella Cockatoo can happen in so many different ways, but it’s easy to see why so many viewers, like @shorkielover, said, “I’m so jealous. I want my bird to do this, too!”<\/p>\n

“We aren’t supposed to cuddle, but it’s so hard to say no to her,” the bird dad admitted in reply. Who can blame him? That sweet face and heartwarming cuddling could win anyone over, and this smart bird<\/a> knows precisely what she’s doing.<\/p>\n

Some birds never become cuddly with their favorite people, or even with other birds, and that’s perfectly OK. No two animals are the same, which is why it’s important to keep an eye open for all the ways a feathered friend like Chet may show their love.<\/p>\n
