{"id":172617,"date":"2025-06-10T09:44:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-10T09:44:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/172617\/"},"modified":"2025-06-10T09:44:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-10T09:44:10","slug":"edinburghs-omni-centre-to-undergo-major-refurbishment-with-plans-unveiled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/172617\/","title":{"rendered":"Edinburgh&#8217;s OMNi Centre to undergo major refurbishment with plans unveiled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The OMNi Centre in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heraldscotland.com\/local-news\/edinburgh-news\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Edinburgh;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Edinburgh<\/a> is set to undergo a \u00a35 million transformation with work to begin this month.<\/p>\n<p>The leisure and entertainment destination was bought by international investment group Triple B in April 2024 and plans were instantly put in place to enhance and promote the area.<\/p>\n<p>The group insists locals will be at the heart of the project and it will be a major refurbishment for the venue which first opened in 2002.<\/p>\n<p>As well as having outlets such as Nandos, Vue, Wetherspoons and more, it is also home to the boutique hotel The Glasshouse.<\/p>\n<p>This refurbishment will include improvements to walkways and new flooring throughout the centre, an enhanced main entrance, new LED lighting, new seating areas and substantial internal structural work to create space for people to meet with each other and spend time.<\/p>\n<p>The Edinburgh shopping mall will be refurbished (Image: OMNi) Work is expected to be completed by the end of the year and the group are confident it will be a major boost to the Edinburgh centre.<\/p>\n<p>Martin Botha, OMNi Edinburgh Centre Manager, said: \u201cWe are thrilled to announce our improvement plans for OMNi, a project that reflects our commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our visitors and a bustling environment for our brands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis transformation will bring exciting new features, modern amenities, a brand revamp and the introduction of live events and experiences, creating a space that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the 4+ million visitors we welcome each year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read More<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re on a mission to inject a sense of fun and excitement into everyone\u2019s visit and at each brand touchpoint, whether that\u2019s meeting up with friends before venturing out into the city or spending quality downtime in-centre, day or night.
