We\u2019re passionate about supporting local Bristol businesses while importing specialty items to bring a taste of the &#8216;De Effe&#8217; to Bristol.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Every bite counts. From our signature tacos to our curated cocktail list, everything is crafted to transport you to the bustling streets of Mexico City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;In June 2025, we\u2019ll be welcoming our younger sister, Tocayo. Opening right next door, Tocayo will serve up Bristol\u2019s best coffee and brunches.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Stop by to experience the flavours, the fun, and the atmosphere that make Chido Wey more than just a meal.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Tocayo will be located at 25a and will be hosting an invite-only soft launch this Sunday, before officially opening its doors to the public on Monday (June 16). <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/bristols-old-market-named-second-2091398\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Popular cafe 25A Old Market<\/a> closed in April after six years, but confirmed to its Instagram followers at the time that &#8220;there are exciting plans ahead for this corner of Old Market&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/0_WhatsApp-Image-2025-06-10-at-110912-1jpeg.jpg\" alt=\"The full English breakfast at Tocayo (fried egg, refried beans, asada mushrooms, avocado, chorizo, bacon, corn tortillas)    \" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>The full English breakfast at Tocayo (fried egg, refried beans, asada mushrooms, avocado, chorizo, bacon, corn tortillas)    (Image: Paul Gillis\/Reach Plc)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">According to the Tocayo website, the sister site is &#8220;all about bringing a fresh, vibrant take on Mexican-inspired brunches and cafe culture to Old Market Street&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It goes on to say: &#8220;As Chido Wey&#8217;s younger sister, we serve up our sibling&#8217;s bold flavours with a side of warmth and community, offering everything from handcrafted coffee and specialty drinks to mouthwatering pastries, cakes, and botanas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Whether you&#8217;re grabbing a takeaway sandwich, browsing our curated retail selection from Otom\u00ed, or staying for cocktails with friends, we\u2019re here to make every visit a flavourful escape \u2013 a place where food, drink, and good vibes come together.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The menu includes everything from huevos rancheros (\u00a39.90), breakfast chimichanga (\u00a39.90), and chilaquiles (\u00a310.90), to salads, tortas, cajeta brownie (\u00a34.20), cointreau cake (\u00a34.70) and even speciality coffees (including the likes of cafe de olla, lechero, chapurrado, and a horchata latte).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1749559216_60_1_WhatsApp-Image-2025-06-10-at-110912jpeg.jpg\" alt=\"Tocayo on Old Market Street\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Tocayo on Old Market Street(Image: Paul Gillis\/Reach Plc)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The new venue&#8217;s opening times are 7.30am-4pm Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4pm on Saturdays and 9am-4pm on Sundays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Taking to social media ahead of its opening, fans and locals were quick to share their excitement.
