This update is \u201cfor all users, excluding cellular devices in Japan and Singapore who will receive an update in the coming weeks.\u201d The Android security update level advances to June 5, 2025 after installing.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/googlepixelwatch\/thread\/349958022\/google-pixel-watch-update-june-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new features<\/a>, Google Wallet allows you to use your transit passes (tap-to-pay) even if the app is not open. Additionally:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wear OS watch needs to be unlocked in order to tap without the Google Wallet app open.<\/li>\n<li>Support for using this feature with your default credit or debit card requires an opt-in from your Wallet on Wear settings.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/wallet?p=wear_open_loop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learn more<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Support for using this feature is automatically enabled for municipal transit cards and is initially available only on transit systems in Washington, D.C., Seattle, and Toronto.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/wallet?p=wear_closed_loop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learn more<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Google Home app will also let you set watch-specific device shortcuts in Favorites.<\/p>\n<p>\tAdvertisement &#8211; scroll for more content<\/p>\n<p>Tapping the \u201cYour watch is up to date\u201d screen (Settings &gt; System &gt; System updates) <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2022\/12\/06\/pixel-watch-update-download\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">multiple times<\/a> should initiate the download. To speed up the process, open Connectivity preferences and disable Bluetooth to force Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n<p>The Pixel Watch June 2025 OTA update images can be <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/android\/ota-watch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Google has moved to quarterly Wear OS updates for the Pixel Watch, with the next scheduled update coming in September.
