A Barnard Castle girl crowned Little Miss Teen County Durham is hoping to replicate her success at a nation-wide contest.<\/p>\n
Carys-Grace Ramsay, 11,\u00a0has seen off hundreds of young girls across the country\u00a0to make it to the Miss Teen Great Britain final.<\/p>\n
Carys has been involved with pageants since the age of four, when\u00a0she first watched her sister in pageants and decided to follow in her footsteps when she was old enough.<\/p>\n

Since then, she has raised more than \u00a310,000\u00a0for various charities and is currently an ambassador and regular volunteer for Sunderland based 4Louis – supports families\u00a0who have experienced child loss – and Love, Amelia – supporting children in need.<\/p>\n
Carys also uses her pocket money to buy goods for food banks and collects period products and donates them to community hubs, schools and homeless charities.<\/p>\n
Her mum Melissa Ramsay said: “I am\u00a0so very proud of her, she has a heart of gold and just wants to help people.<\/p>\n
“She has\u00a0been through a tough time over the last few years with her personal life and she lost her confidence.<\/p>\n
“Pageants have brought that confidence back and you can see her beaming when she\u2019s on the stage. We are very much looking forward to October to the finals.”<\/p>\n

“Last year I placed top five\u00a0as well as some amazing side awards.”<\/p>\n
Girls aged 10-19 from across Great Britain will compete for the crown at the grand final in Blackpool.<\/p>\n
The winner of Miss Teen Great Britain will walk away a cash prize, dresses, a sparkling sash and crown.<\/p>\n
