The event, held as part of the <strong>European Pro Bono Week<\/strong> across 12 countries, was co-organized by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iberianlawyer.com\/?s=Spain+Hosts+7th+Annual+Pro+Bono+Conference+\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fundaci\u00f3n Pro Bono Espa\u00f1a<\/a><\/strong> and <strong>Fundaci\u00f3n Fernando Pombo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The event was opened by <strong>Carlos Rueda<\/strong>, senior partner at <strong>G\u00f3mez-Acebo &amp; Pombo<\/strong>; <strong>Jos\u00e9 Luis de Castro<\/strong>, president of the Board of Trustees of Fundaci\u00f3n Pro Bono Espa\u00f1a and founding partner and director of <strong>De Castro Estudio de Abogados<\/strong>; and <strong>Manuel Mart\u00edn<\/strong>, president of Fundaci\u00f3n Fernando Pombo. This year\u2019s theme focused on aging and dignity, highlighting legal barriers affecting the elderly and how pro bono legal initiatives can support autonomy and access to justice in later life. The first panel showcased impactful projects supporting elder rights, including legal literacy efforts, anti-ageism tools, and proposed legal reforms.<\/p>\n<p>Moderated discussions emphasized the need for interdisciplinary and multigenerational approaches. The second panel explored whether age itself creates legal vulnerability and called for coordinated, rights-based responses to aging.
