Kane had to intervene, pushing his teammate onto the pitch to calm down and acknowledge Senegal’s victory.<\/p>\n
England skipper Kane echoed Wright’s verdict and strongly criticised the VAR decision that denied his side a potential equaliser.<\/p>\n
“If you know the rules it’s not handball,” Kane told ITV. “It would have got us back in the game at 2-2 and maybe we would have gone on and won the game so it’s quite a big moment.”<\/p>\n
Despite the controversial decision, Kane refused to make excuses for England’s poor display: “We’re not going to panic but for sure, we know that we need to be better.<\/p>\n
“There are some ideas that are new for the guys, we have new players coming into the team who don’t have experience at the international level.”<\/p>\n
