While initial agreements were reached on Security, Defence, and the Fishing industry, it remains uncertain whether a firm agreement can be secured for touring artists.

Further talks are due at the end of June

The Labour Party has committed to supporting touring artists in its Manifesto, and the issue was raised during the meeting—though no formal agreement has yet been reached. The Common Understanding document, which outlines the key topics covered at the Summit and the commitments made by both sides, includes positive language for our sector.

However, the Minister made clear that much work lies ahead, and that creative thinking will be needed to achieve a meaningful cultural accord with the EU.

Further talks are scheduled for the end of June, beginning with a meeting of the Domestic Advisory Group (DAG), where LIVE, the MU, and UK Music are all represented, followed by the Civil Society Forum.

We will continue to raise these issues in ongoing discussions with Government departments.

L-R: Annabella Coldrick (MMF/LIVE), Naomi Pohl (MU), Minister Nick Thomas-Symonds, Dave Webster (MU &…

[5226
802,748,47049,2000,299,5187,1699,4884,47044,47034,47039,47043,47042,47046,47050,47048,47035,47038,47045,47041,47036,47037,47047,16,47040,15
0":"post-175913","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-brexit","8":"tag-brexit","9":"tag-britain","10":"tag-collective-power-of-musicians","11":"tag-eu","12":"tag-europe","13":"tag-european","14":"tag-european-union","15":"tag-great-britain","16":"tag-membership-for-musicians","17":"tag-mu","18":"tag-mu-music","19":"tag-musician-association","20":"tag-musician-collective","21":"tag-musicians-company","22":"tag-musicians-lobbying-the-government","23":"tag-musicians-trade-union","24":"tag-musicians-union","25":"tag-musicians-union-uk","26":"tag-representation-of-musicians-uk","27":"tag-society-of-musicians","28":"tag-the-mu","29":"tag-the-musicians-union","30":"tag-trade-union-power","31":"tag-uk","32":"tag-union-for-musicians","33":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
