{"id":175993,"date":"2025-06-11T15:27:16","date_gmt":"2025-06-11T15:27:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/175993\/"},"modified":"2025-06-11T15:27:16","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T15:27:16","slug":"your-apple-watch-will-now-speak-to-you-through-your-workout-thanks-to-watchos-26-and-ai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/175993\/","title":{"rendered":"Your Apple Watch will now speak to you through your workout, thanks to WatchOS 26 and AI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apple\u2019s new Workout Buddy feature incorporates your workout data and fitness history to generate personalised, motivational insights during your workout sessions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Announced on Monday as part of the WatchOS 26 update, the feature is a \u201cfirst-of-its-kind workout experience\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Workout Buddy will be on the Apple Watch and uses Apple Intelligence, the AI system developed by Apple.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It will be available only in English at first, across the most popular workout types, including outdoor cycling, running, walking, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/fitness-and-training\/hiit-interval-training\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HIIT<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/fitness-and-training\/strength-training-cycling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">strength training<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Alongside an Apple Watch, you will need a pair of Bluetooth <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/advice\/buyers-guides\/best-headphones-for-cycling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">headphones<\/a> for it to work and an Apple Intelligence-supported iPhone nearby.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Meaningful inspiration in real time<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1440\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1749655636_782_Apple-WWDC25-watchOS-26-hero-250609-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-921924\"\/>Workout Buddy was announced as part of WatchOS 26, which also includes new features such as Live Translation. Apple<\/p>\n<p>Workout Buddy uses a new text-to-speech model that will then translate insights into a \u201cdynamic generative voice\u201d that Apple says will match the tone and energy required for a workout.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Apple says: \u201cTo offer meaningful inspiration in real time, Workout Buddy analyzes data from a user\u2019s current workout along with their fitness history, based on data like heart rate, pace, distance, Activity rings, personal fitness milestones, and more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Apple has also revealed the kinds of encouragement Workout Buddy will provide. These include statements such as \u201cWay to go on your run this morning\u201d, \u201cYou just broke your all-time weekly distance record!\u201d and \u201cYou\u2019ve climbed 2,000 feet in elevation\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>As soon as you start an activity, Workout Buddy can start with a pep talk before marking key moments in an activity, such as distance covered.
