EastEnders has teased a concerning new storyline involving Phil Mitchell that will air later this month.<\/p>\n

Phil has had an incredibly difficult year, as his mental health declined and he attempted to take his own life in February<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With professional help<\/a> and the support of his family and friends, he was able to get himself back on track in recent months.<\/p>\n

Phil is currently facing a new challenge though, having taken on the role of caring for his life-long friend Nigel<\/a> who has been diagnosed with young on-set dementia.<\/p>\n

But new spoilers released by the BBC<\/a> have revealed that Phil\u2019s loved ones will soon grow concerned about him again \u2013 including his ex-wife Kat.<\/p>\n

Later this month, Kat worries about the welfare of her former husband before Phil is then “forced to face a difficult truth”. What is he struggling with, and will he open up to those around him?<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Yolande plans a party for partner Patrick<\/a>, who himself “dishes out some words of wisdom” to someone else.<\/p>\n
