{"id":176664,"date":"2025-06-11T21:18:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-11T21:18:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/176664\/"},"modified":"2025-06-11T21:18:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T21:18:10","slug":"marvel-studios-is-developing-a-hercules-solo-project-starring-ted-lassos-brett-goldstein","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/176664\/","title":{"rendered":"Marvel Studios Is Developing A HERCULES Solo Project Starring TED LASSO&#8217;s Brett Goldstein"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thor: Love and Thunder&#8217;s biggest surprise came in the movie&#8217;s mid-credits scene when Zeus sent his son, Hercules, to take on the MCU&#8217;s God of Thunder.\u00a0Ted Lasso\u00a0star Brett Goldstein has\u00a0been cast as the hero (who may be more antagonist than protagonist), but he hasn&#8217;t been seen since.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s par for the course with the Multiverse Saga&#8217;s post-credits scene debuts\u2014Starfox, Blade, Clea, and Jake Lockley are also M.I.A.\u2014but we may have some good news for you today.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/comicbookmovie.com\/thor\/rumor-marvel-officially-developing-thor-5without-ragnarok-and-love-and-thunder-director-taika-waititi-a221066\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Following the news that Thor 5 is potentially moving forward<\/strong><\/a> without filmmaker Taika Waititi,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DanielRPK\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">@DanielRichtman<\/a>\u00a0is reporting that Marvel Studios is developing a solo Hercules project, with Goldstein set to reprise the role.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Hercules character has become a tough sell at the box office, and we&#8217;re not sure even placing &#8220;Marvel Studios&#8221; before the title would help. A team-up project with Thor would increase interest, but if the plan is for them to clash in Thor 5, then the God of Thunder&#8217;s next movie might be what lays the groundwork for this spin-off.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A Disney+ series or Special Presentation seems a safer bet than a theatrical release.\u00a0We&#8217;ll see how things pan out as Marvel Studios has already confirmed it&#8217;s developing more movies and TV shows than it will ultimately produce.<\/p>\n<p>According to Goldstein, he heard from Marvel Studios <strong>&#8220;literally out of the blue one night.&#8221;<\/strong> The actor continued, <strong>&#8220;They turn around, and they reveal, &#8216;It\u2019s Hercules; it\u2019s you.&#8217;\u00a0And I went, &#8216;What?&#8217;\u00a0Just like, &#8216;Are you serious? Are you [frick]ing with me? Is this a wind-up?&#8217; So yeah, it was as surprising to me as I think it has been to other people.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;When I spoke to Taika, I said, &#8216;You know I\u2019m basically like a skinny comedian?&#8217;\u00a0I said, &#8216;When is this filming?&#8217;\u00a0It was like in two weeks, and I was like, &#8216;I mean, I\u2019ll do my best, but two weeks feels&#8230;&#8217;\u00a0I said, &#8216;He doesn\u2019t have to be as big as Thor, does he?&#8217;\u00a0And look, on the day, I mean, I\u2019m doing 400 push-ups that day. I was fit to explode. I did the best I could on that day.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Goldstein added, <strong>&#8220;I truly, honestly \u2014 this isn\u2019t me lying or being coy \u2014 I know nothing [of the future]. All I know is what I did that day and that\u2019s it. That could be it. It was a fun three seconds.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re not expecting Hercules to factor into Avengers: Doomsday, though it&#8217;s always possible we&#8217;ll see his cash with Thor briefly play out there before they&#8217;re forced to team up and do battle with Doctor Doom.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Would you be on board with a Hercules solo project?
