As the Xbox Games Showcase<\/a> was kicking into gear on Sunday, it became apparent that October 2025 was going to become a busy month for new first-party releases. We started the event with nothing confirmed for that month, and ended it with three major Xbox Game Studios<\/a> titles being scheduled within 12 days of each other.<\/p>\n

The first of these is Double Fine’s Keeper<\/a><\/strong>, which was revealed for the first time at the event and received a release date of October 17th<\/strong>. Then, four days later, we’re getting Ninja Gaiden 4<\/a><\/strong> on October 21st<\/strong>, and it’s followed by perhaps the biggest release of the three on October 29th<\/strong> in the form of Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds 2<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To us, it certainly feels pretty strange that Xbox is releasing all of these games within such a small space of time, and here’s hoping they all still get a nice marketing push ahead of launch.<\/p>\n

It’s especially bizarre because Xbox has nothing currently scheduled for September 2025 or November 2025 right now, and while Call of Duty: Black Ops 7<\/a><\/strong> is surely being positioned to dominate November as things stand, it’s worth remembering that Black Ops 6 launched in October last year – surely that’s not going to happen again?!<\/p>\n

Anyway, we just thought this was an interesting decision from Team Xbox, and perhaps it indicates that there’s still room for a couple more games (including COD) to slot into the lineup before the year is out.<\/p>\n
