They are the heart and soul of our communities, the places where we can freely express ourselves, laugh, cry, sing, and voice our opinions when it matters most.<\/p>\n

There’s nothing that quite compares to a British pub. And the pubs in Bristol<\/a> are undoubtedly some of the finest in the land.<\/p>\n

They exude character, charm, vitality, and warmth – and the beer is pretty good too. Some pubs, undeniably, stand out from the rest. It could be the friendly bar staff, the iconic landlord, or the top-notch ale.<\/p>\n

Or perhaps it’s the live entertainment that adds that extra sparkle to your evening.<\/p>\n

We also have a soft spot for those less-than-perfect quirks, especially when the pub happens to be your local, a place where you’ve spent years creating memories that will last a lifetime.<\/p>\n

But the cost of living crisis has hit the pub industry hard – and now we want to show our appreciation for the ones still putting up a fight and pulling out all the stops to remain a vital part of our communities.<\/p>\n

Our panel of beer lovers will then decide which venues should form our prestigious top 50 pubs of the year guide before an overall winner is declared.<\/p>\n

Each entry will be awarded a pub of the year sticker to display in their venue in recognition of their status. Not only that – but as many pubs as possible that feature in the guide will get a glowing write-up on BristolLive as a job well done.<\/p>\n
