The Duchess of Edinburgh experienced an awkward moment at the Royal Windsor Flower Show when her footwear nearly caused a mishap during a formal greeting with King Charles.<\/p>\n

Sophie, 60, was attempting to curtsy to her brother-in-law when she almost lost her shoe, having bent too low during the respectful gesture.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred as the duchess attended the annual summer garden event<\/a>, where she had been showcasing British fashion in a vibrant outfit.<\/p>\n

Despite her usual preference for practical clothing choices, her footwear proved less functional than anticipated on this occasion.<\/p>\n

The royal had been wearing Penelope Chilvers Colina style wedges, a favoured brand amongst royal women.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Edinburgh was first spotted wearing the footwear in 2019. Unfortunately for royal fans, these wedges are no longer in stock.<\/p>\n
