The Las Vegas Rotary Club and WestCare Nevada have successfully concluded their second annual suit drive, providing professional attire to individuals overcoming significant life challenges. <\/p>\n
The initiative, which outfitted 40 people with donated suits, has already resulted in 21 of the recipients securing new jobs.<\/p>\n
Leo Magrdichian, a Las Vegas Rotarian and regional vice president of WestCare Nevada, said, “As a result, 21 of the 40 individuals who received suits have already secured new jobs.”<\/p>\n
The suit drive, more than just a clothing initiative, is described as a movement powered by purpose, community, and hope. <\/p>\n
It aims to support Southern Nevada locals in rebuilding their lives by offering professional clothing, support, and a renewed sense of purpose.<\/p>\n
Andrew Moran, a Las Vegas Rotarian and development director for WestCare Nevada, said, “This suit drive represents the best of what happens when community partners come together. Each suit, along with a handwritten note of encouragement, offers more than a fresh start \u2014 it offers hope. It\u2019s a true example of Rotary\u2019s values in action: dignity, opportunity and service to others.”<\/p>\n
Volunteers included handwritten notes of encouragement with each outfit, creating meaningful moments of hope and connection. <\/p>\n
Magrdichian noted the impact of the drive, saying, “We\u2019ve heard directly from recipients that this drive truly boosts their confidence\u2014it helps them stand a little taller. Some shared that they sent photos to their parents, felt a sense of pride and even said it made them feel like an adult for the first time.”<\/p>\n
