Barcelona sporting director Deco has revealed his club are still in the market for a new forward after Liverpool turned down an approach for Luis Diaz. The La Liga giants made a move for the Colombia international earlier this month, but as reported by the ECHO at the time<\/a>, the Reds have no plans to sell the 28-year-old this summer.<\/p>\n As well as Barcelona, Diaz has also been attracting interest from the Saudi Pro League. Like Gavi, who is returning from an injury, but who will improve a lot with next year’s preseason.<\/p>\n \u201cThere is also Marc Bernal, who was injured at the beginning of the season.<\/p>\n “We have (Ronald) Araujo and Dani Olmo, with whom we are working so that they do not suffer injuries again.<\/p>\n \u201cIn attack, it will depend on what we can do in the market. But perhaps it is the only sector in which we identify that one or another player is missing.”<\/p>\n Speaking earlier this month, Diaz admitted that his representatives are discussing a potential move away from Anfield<\/a>.<\/p>\n The attacker, who scored 17 goals in 50 appearances last season, is approaching the final two years of his Liverpool<\/a> contract, and he admitted while away on international duty that he is keeping all his options open.<\/p>\n
