Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has already suggested the Italian club will not pay over the odds for Manchester United<\/a> winger Alejandro Garnacho should they rekindle their interest this summer.<\/p>\n Napoli saw a \u00a340million bid for the United ace turned down in the January transfer window after identifying him as one of their top targets to strengthen their wide options.<\/p>\n Their offer fell short of United’s valuation of the 20-year-old, who has been informed he is free to leave Old Trafford this summer if the club receives an acceptable offer<\/a>. It is believed a fair market value for him would be somewhere between \u00a350m and \u00a360m.<\/p>\n Garnacho<\/a> does not directly fit into United head coach Ruben Amorim’s winger-less system. The attacker also questioned the United boss for starting him on the bench for last month’s Europa League<\/a> final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao.<\/p>\n With an exit highly likely this summer, it remains to be seen if Napoli will resurrect their interest in his signature. If they do, they are unlikely to get involved in long, drawn-out negotiations, with Manna admitting earlier this year they would want to do a deal on their own terms.<\/p>\n “We are making some assessments, he is an important player, but he is not ours,” Manna said, speaking back in January.<\/p>\n “We must not get carried away even if we know that an important player has left, a top player as the manager defined him and therefore the expectations are high. But we will do something on Napoli’s terms.”<\/p>\n Napoli have since won the Serie A title and are on the brink of signing outgoing Manchester City<\/a> midfielder Kevin De Bruyne. He has arrived in Naples to undergo a medical ahead of joining the club on a free transfer.<\/p>\n By bringing in a player of De Bruyne’s calibre, it shows Napoli are not in the mood to mess around this summer and want to attract some of the biggest names in the business.
