Jamie Borthwick<\/a>\u00a0was seen heading for a catch up with an EastEnders<\/a> friend, amid the fallout of the scandal of a\u00a0shocking sex toy video.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The EastEnders actor looked downcast as he walked to the\u00a0Southwark Playhouse in London, where his close friend Max Bowden<\/a> is currently starring in Midnight Cowboy.<\/p>\n

Jamie dressed down in a loose grey t-shirt and chinos for his first appearance since he became embroiled in the latest Strictly scandal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The soap star\u00a0and his Strictly Come Dancing co-star\u00a0Wynne <\/a>Evans\u00a0were reportedly blasted by BBC bosses over a shocking sex toy video<\/a>, which emerged on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

In footage obtained by\u00a0The Sun on Sunday<\/a> the two stars, who took part in last year’s line up of the show, were filmed backstage after the opera singer sent a sex toy to the EastEnders<\/a> star.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Filmed just two days after Wynne was recorded making a\u00a0vile sexual comment to Jamie about pro dancer Janette Manrara<\/a>, the video sees Jamie claiming the toy\u00a0was sent to Birmingham<\/a>\u2019s Utilita Arena reception by Wynne.<\/p>\n

Jamie says: ‘Look at what he bought me. I opened it up and he surprised me with this, didn\u2019t he. It\u2019s so funny.’<\/p>\n

Jamie reportedly shared the offensive clip on the Strictly<\/a> contestant Whatsapp group.<\/p>\n

A source told The Sun<\/a>: ‘As soon as BBC executives were made aware of this shocking and immature footage being shared they formally addressed the issue and reminded the pair they had to act professionally.<\/p>\n

‘The men were acting extremely immaturely and inappropriately, considering it was a family show, and many cast members didn\u2019t share their crass sense of humour.<\/p>\n

‘Bosses were horrified and shocked, hoping to nip the issue in the bud, unaware the video had been shared more widely.’<\/p>\n

They added that the pair thought the video was funny, yet while they saw the hilarity, others didn’t, especially as Strictly is a family show.\u00a0<\/p>\n

MailOnline have contacted the BBC as well as Wynne and Jamie’s representatives for comment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

It comes a day after Wynne took\u00a0yet another swipe at Strictly as he confessed he ‘can’t wait to tell the truth’ on Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Wynne was recorded crudely suggesting a three-way sex session with <\/a>Janette,\u00a0using the hugely demeaning term ‘spit roast’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Janette did not make a complaint against the singer, yet he apologised for the vile remark aimed at tour host Janette, when footage emerged of the comment at the tour’s press launch. He was then axed from the tour.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In February, Jamie spoke out at the <\/a><\/a>BBC<\/a> show’s Live Tour final <\/a>performance to demand its future be ‘protected’ after running for 20 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The comments came shortly after his co-star Wynne Evans<\/a>, 53, was kicked off the tour for making a joke about having a threesome with presenter Janette Manrara<\/a>, 41.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking at the London O2 show in February, Jamie said:\u00a0‘Strictly is such a fantastic show. The people on this show are amazing.<\/p>\n

Strictly judges Shirley Ballas<\/a>, Anton Du Beke<\/a> and Motsi Mabuse<\/a> began to applaud, but Craig Revel Horwood<\/a> did not join in, The Sun <\/a>reported at the time.<\/p>\n

Jamie continued: ‘I’ve honestly had the most amazing experience with every single person, including my lovely new sister Michelle. She’s absolutely fantastic.<\/p>\n

‘And I just want to thank every single person for all their support all through the show. It’s been brilliant. Thank you so much.’<\/p>\n
