Love Island 2025 has begun and people are convinced they saw new Islander Dejon vaping, but it\u2019s not what it seems.<\/p>\n
During the second episode of the series, people saw what looks like a bright green disposable vape in the professional footballer\u2019s hand, and took to social media immediately.<\/p>\n
\u201cWait, did I just see Dejon vaping in the villa? Since when was that allowed?\u201d one person said.<\/p>\n
\u201cDid anyone just see Dejon with the vape in hand,\u201d someone else wrote, while another replied: \u201cI thought I was going crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

A second shot showed Dejon move the mysterious neon green item suspiciously close to his mouth and appear to take a puff. It does look like he\u2019s vaping from far away, but that\u2019s not the case.<\/p>\n
When you zoom in, you can very obviously see that he\u2019s actually smothering lip balm over his lips and not vaping, which is still strictly banned inside the villa. The rules haven\u2019t changed.<\/p>\n

The Love Island<\/a> rules state that Islanders are allowed to smoke and vape<\/a>, but they must do it off-camera in a designated area. Amy Hart once revealed this area is located outside the front.<\/p>\n They can only go out there one at a time, so it\u2019s not a place to socialise with anyone. Plus, anything related to smoking like cigarettes, vapes and lighters are not allowed to be taken back into the villa.<\/p>\n Islanders can\u2019t just decide they fancy a cigarette one day either; they have to tell producers that they smoke or vape before they enter the show. If they didn\u2019t previously disclose it, they aren\u2019t allowed to go out there under any circumstances.<\/p>\n In the early seasons, we used to see the cast members smoking on camera around the fire pit, but that all changed in 2017 after a series of Ofcom complaints claimed that the show was glamourising smoking.<\/p>\n Since then, the rules have been very strict. So, if you think you spot any other Islanders smoking or vaping<\/a> in the villa this year, look again, because it\u2019s definitely something else.<\/p>\n
