A man was tragically found dead near a playing field in Greater Manchester.<\/p>\n
Officers were called out to the scene on Green Lane in Horwich<\/a>, near Bolton<\/a>, on Wednesday morning (June 11).<\/p>\n It’s understood police were initially called out to concerns for a man’s welfare.<\/p>\n By 8am a blue forensic tent had been erected, between the playing field and a construction site.<\/p>\n Images from the scene on Wednesday showed police had taped off an area of land, near to where diggers were based.<\/p>\n Join the Manchester Evening News <\/strong>WhatsApp<\/strong> group <\/strong>HERE<\/a><\/p>\n Officers were seen manning a cordon, while paramedics had been seen in attendance earlier in the morning.<\/p>\n Greater Manchester Police<\/a> has confirmed that a body of a man was found at the scene.<\/p>\n Work to identify him was ongoing on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n Help and support<\/p>\n Samaritans (116 123)<\/strong> samaritans.org<\/strong> operates a 24-hour service available every day of the year.
