Rumors suggest though the company is also looking to put its upcoming XR headset, Project Moohan, in the spotlight too.<\/p>\n<p>Project Moohan was<a href=\"https:\/\/www.roadtovr.com\/google-android-xr-announcement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> announced alongside Android XR<\/a> back in December 2024, which will be the first device to run Google\u2019s upcoming XR operating system. Samsung has said in the past that consumers should expect Project Moohan\u2019s launch sometime this year, although it still doesn\u2019t have a specific date or official name scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Now,\u00a0Samsung serial leaker \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PandaFlashPro\/status\/1932801600663532027\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Panda Flash<\/a>\u2018 reports the company\u2019s upcoming mixed reality headset could finally get a release date there.<\/p>\n<p>While were initially expecting to hear something\u00a0about Project Moohan at Google I\/O last month (we didn\u2019t), Samsung might be keeping the device a little closer to home than initially thought.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/project-moohan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy lazy-hidden size-full wp-image-121838\" data-lazy-type=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/project-moohan.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\"  \/><\/a>Samsung Project Moohan | Image courtesy The Verge<\/p>\n<p>Panda Flash, who has been following\u00a0Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 leaks and supply chain rumors, additionally reports the headset<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PandaFlashPro\/status\/1932802486143742414\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> will launch first in South Korea<\/a>, and then gradually launch globally sometime afterwards\u2014essentially mirroring Apple\u2019s US-first launch of Vision Pro before heading into other markets.<\/p>\n<p>Samsung has shown its supposed Vision Pro competitor at a number of events over the past year, which includes our opportunity to go <a href=\"https:\/\/www.roadtovr.com\/samsung-android-xr-vr-headset-project-moohan-hands-on\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hands-on with Project Moohan<\/a>\u00a0in December, although the company has largely stayed mum on revealing the XR headset\u2019s full spec sheet.<\/p>\n<p>So far, we know the Android XR headset is packing in a Qualcomm Snapdragon\u202fXR2\u202f+\u202fGen\u202f2, Sony-sourced micro\u2011OLED panels (resolution still TBA), pancake lenses, automatic interpupillary distance (IPD) adjustment, support for eye and hand-tracking, optional magnetically-attached light shield, and a removable external battery pack.
