Pop singer Dua Lipa has confirmed she is engaged to Callum Turner. The Levitating singer is set to take over Anfield<\/a> Stadium for two nights later this month.<\/a><\/p>\n

Since rising to fame, the singer and songwriter has developed a strong affinity with the city. The chart-topping Londoner performed at the opening ceremony for the 2018 Champions League final<\/a> between Liverpool FC<\/a> and Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

In recent seasons, her hit single One Kiss, with fellow ‘honorary Scouser’ DJ Calvin Harris<\/a>, has become an unofficial Liverpool FC anthem. Recently, crowds at the Liverpool FC victory parade erupted<\/a> into the chorus of the song when DJ Calvin played the song.<\/p>\n

Dua has recently confirmed her engagement in an interview with British Vogue. She said her partner Callum popped the question with a custom piece of jewellery he made with the advice of her sister Rina and her best friends.<\/p>\n

Talking to British Vogue, <\/a>Dua revealed: “Yeah, we\u2019re engaged. It\u2019s very exciting.” Speaking about her stunning ring, she shared: “I\u2019m obsessed with it. It\u2019s so me. It\u2019s nice to know the person that you\u2019re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”<\/p>\n

However, the couple, who started dating in January 2024, have yet to set a wedding date<\/a> because of their busy work schedules. Dua, 29, said: “I want to finish my tour, Callum\u2019s shooting, so we\u2019re just enjoying this period.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve never been someone who\u2019s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I\u2019m like: \u2018Oh, what would I wear?\u2019”<\/p>\n

Although Dua has seen people get engaged in the past, she had “never really understood the weight of it” but now she thinks committing to another person is “special”.<\/p>\n

She explained: \u201cThis decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don\u2019t know, be best friends forever \u2013 it\u2019s a really special feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Dance the Night Away hitmaker <\/a>is keen to have a family of her own but admitted she doesn’t know when would be a “good time” because of the demands of her pop career.<\/p>\n

She said: “I\u2019d love to have kids one day. But it\u2019s like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time, how it would fit in with my job, and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I\u2019d have to take.<\/p>\n

“I think it\u2019s just one of those things that\u2019s going to happen when it happens. I love kids, but I think there\u2019s so much more to raising a child than just loving children.”<\/p>\n

Dua and Callum had “many Sliding Doors moments”, <\/a>where they were in the same place at the same time without realising, before being introduced to one another at the River Cafe in London.<\/p>\n

A year later, she was having dinner in Los Angeles with her friend Mustafa the Poet when “all of a sudden” Callum appeared. She thought: \u201cOh, it\u2019s that really hot guy from The River Cafe.\u201d<\/p>\n

During their conversation, the pair realised they both “just happened to be reading” Hernan Diaz’s novel Trust. Asked if she feels they were destined to be together, she replied: \u201cOne thousand per cent.\u201d<\/p>\n
