A JetBlue plane rolled off the runway and into a grass area while landing at an airport in Boston<\/a> this morning.<\/p>\n

JetBlue flight 312\u00a0skid off the payment hours after an Air India<\/a> plane heading to London<\/a> crashed in Ahmedabad<\/a> and killed at least 244 people.<\/p>\n

The JetBlue plane, an Airbus A220, \u2018went into the grass while turning off the runway at Boston Logan International Airport\u2019 around 11.55am, stated the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).<\/p>\n

No one was injured in the JetBlue incident, according to the Massachusetts Port Authority.<\/p>\n

Passengers exited the aircraft using stairs, said a Massport spokesperson.<\/p>\n

\u2018The runway is closed at this time as the aircraft is assessed and passengers are bussed to the terminal,\u2019 stated the agency.<\/p>\n

A passenger on another airplane took a photograph that showed several emergency vehicles and fire engines going to the JetBlue plane. <\/p>\n

Tyesha Best, president of Transport Workers Union of America Local 579, the union that represents JetBlue flight attendants, said that \u2018all crew and customers are safe\u2019. <\/p>\n

\u2018We remain in contact with the company to provide all needed support for those affected,\u2019 Best told CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Flight 312 departed from Chicago<\/a> O\u2019Hare International Airport.<\/p>\n

The FAA said it put a ground stop to flights at Logan at 1pm until about 2pm \u2018due to aircraft emergency\u2019, and that it could be extended. The agency is investigating the incident.<\/p>\n

Flights departing from Logan have been delayed by an average of 30 minutes. <\/p>\n

The plane is being examined for any mechanical issues.The cause of the incident was not immediately known.<\/p>\n

Air India Flight 171, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, possibly lost power suddenly after takeoff, according to experts.<\/p>\n

The Air India plane was carrying 53 British nationals, 169 Indian nationals, seven Portuguese nationals and a Canadian. A 40-year-old British man has been hospitalized and is believed to be the only survivor.<\/p>\n

It is the deadliest aviation disaster in India since 1996.<\/p>\n
