Oasis will play in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/heaton-park\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Heaton Park<\/a> on five occasions, three of them on weekend evenings, leaving the two weekday performances affecting schools in the area.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/0_JS371252625.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Some schools close to Heaton Park wil close early on days of the Oasis concerts (Picture Jason Roberts \/ Manchester Evening News)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The full five nights will see around 400,000 ticket holders arriving at the park gates in July. St Monica\u2019s RC High school overlooks the concert site on <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/bury\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Bury<\/a> Old Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The 1,086 capacity school will close at 12.30pm on Friday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 16. A council spokesman said: \u201cThis will allow pupils and staff to leave the area safely before the gates open.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/0_JS143425741.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>St Monica&#8217;s High School, Bury Old Rd, Prestwich, will close at lunch-time on two days<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Sedgley Park Primary has also decided on two curtailed days with lunch-time finishes at 1.15pm on the two days. The 271-capacity school said it was to \u2018allow parents and staff to vacate the premises before the traffic gets too busy\u2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A school spokesman, added: \u201cParents have been informed of these dates well in advance and work will be provided online for the afternoon session.\u201d Two other primary school close to Heaton Park have not opted for lunch-time finishes but will close early.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">Join our Oasis WhatsApp group <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/chat.whatsapp.com\/CIVlg0PdYKZ4CsPkkd7ADQ\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"hereLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The 225-capacity St Margaret\u2019s Primary on <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/heywood\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Heywood<\/a> Road, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/whitefield\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Whitefield<\/a>, said they are not closing the school, but will be offering parents an early pick-up on the days so as to reduce traffic.
