NBC is celebrating the 50th anniversary of JAWS<\/strong> with a special presentation of the classic film next week that will feature a new introduction from Steven Spielberg<\/strong>, Variety<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

The 1975 film will air across three hours beginning at 8pm ET on Friday, June 20<\/strong>, which Variety notes is \u201cthe exact 50th anniversary date of when it was released.\u201d<\/p>\n

What else can you expect for the JAWS 50th anniversary this Summer? A new documentary titled Jaws at 50: The Definitive Inside Story<\/a> comes to National Geographic on July 10\u00a0followed by\u00a0Hulu and Disney+ on July 11, while a 50th anniversary 4K SteelBook<\/a> release is set for June 17. Special events will also be taking place on Martha\u2019s Vineyard<\/a> all Summer long.<\/p>\n

Variety notes, \u201cNBCUniversal is also coordinating with Major League Baseball for in-stadium activations around the country. Themed home games for the San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies will take place between June 20 and 22, and feature themed home games with \u201ccustom scoreboard content, exclusive fan giveaways and more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beginning on June 15, Peacock will launch a water-themed \u201cTrouble in the Water\u201d section that includes all four JAWS films alongside Piranha, 47 Meters Down, Night Swim and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cUniversal is home to the biggest movies in the world and it doesn\u2019t get any bigger than \u2018Jaws,\u2019\u201d said Jenny Storms, chief marketing officer, NBCUniversal Television & Streaming. \u201cWe want to celebrate 50 years of this enduring film that has captured the public imagination for generations by bringing it to audiences at home in all the ways they love to watch.\u201d<\/p>\n
