Thousands of pounds have been raised in memory of 14-year-old Ibrahima Seck. The schoolboy died after he suffered a single stab wound in an alleged attack in New Moston on June 8.<\/p>\n

His grieving dad Mamadou told the Manchester Evening News of the devastating moment he watched paramedics trying to save his son’s life.<\/a><\/p>\n

“I keep seeing it in my head,” he said. “I [went] with the police to the hospital and in the hospital they confirmed Ibrahima had passed away.<\/p>\n

“It’s the first time I cried in my life. I will never forget this day, never.”<\/p>\n

An online fundraiser<\/a> set up in Ibrahima’s memory has raised over \u00a313,000. Set up buy Dawn Frimpong, who worked with the 14-year-old in school, wrote: “I had the honour of working with this young man in a school, where he was very well loved.<\/p>\n

“He was a beautiful soul who had the most infectious smile and you couldn’t help but laugh with him. He will be missed by so many.<\/p>\n

“I am attempting to raise as much money as possible for Ibrahima’s family so they are not worrying about financial burden at this very difficult time.”<\/p>\n

A trial date has been set for three teenagers accused of murdering Ibrahima. The youths – two aged 16 and one aged 14 – previously appeared at Manchester Youth Court.<\/p>\n

A trial date was set for November 11 by judge Nicholas Dean KC at a Manchester Crown Court hearing on Thursday (June 12). It is expected to last five weeks.<\/p>\n

The teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were remanded in a youth detention facility. They are all accused of murder and possession of a bladed article.<\/p>\n

None of the defendants appeared in court in person. Family members were in the public gallery.
