If you are into thrillers<\/a> and scary movies<\/a>, there is a sci-fi horror<\/a> that may pique your interest airing on Channel 4 this Saturday.<\/p>\n

M3GAN tells the story of a humanoid robot who is designed to be the ultimate companion for children but there is no limits to its power.<\/p>\n

The film is airing on Channel 4 just weeks before the highly anticipate sequel is set for release in UK cinemas on June 27.<\/p>\n

M3GAN’s synopsis reads: “M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a lifelike doll that’s programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally.<\/p>\n

“Designed by Gemma, a brilliant roboticist, M3GAN can listen, watch and learn as it plays the role of friend and teacher, playmate and protector.<\/p>\n

“When Gemma becomes the unexpected caretaker of her eight-year-old niece, she decides to give the girl an M3GAN prototype, a decision that leads to unimaginable consequences.”<\/p>\n

Gerard Johnstone directed M3GAN, with stars including Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Ronny Chieng, Jenna Davis and Amie Donald.<\/p>\n

M3GAN gets a 93% rating from Rotten Tomatoes critics.<\/p>\n

The critics consensus reads: “Unapologetically silly and all the more entertaining for it, M3GAN is the rare horror-comedy that delivers chuckles as effortlessly as chills.<\/p>\n

“A brilliantly fun juggling act of eerie themes, campy humour and sincere drama, there is something for everyone here,” said a Rotten Tomatoes critic.”<\/p>\n

One reviewer stated: “Viewers will leave the theatre with guilty-pleasure glee from drinking in M3GAN\u2019s witty escalating kill skills and choice of victims. The film\u2019s worth the price of admission just to see the can-do doll\u2019s rubbery smooth facial reactions.”<\/p>\n

The sequel M3GAN 2.0 will follow Gemma, who has become an advocate for government oversight of AI. But when a defense contractor creates a military-grade weapon known as Amelia, the ultimate infiltration spy, terror ensues.<\/p>\n
