Huddersfield Giants winger Adam Swift will miss the next two or three weeks at least through injury, Luke Robinson has confirmed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Swift has been one of Huddersfield\u2019s<\/a> most consistent performers this season, scoring seven tries in the 13 games he has played so far. That\u2019s a tally that makes him the club\u2019s top tryscorer so far, three ahead of his closest rival Jacob Gagai.<\/p>\n

However, the former Hull FC and St Helens man looks set to miss the remainder of the month at least as he battles to overcome the calf tear he picked up last week. And, he\u2019s going to be big miss for the Giants, who are in the middle of a tough run of fixtures with Wigan Warriors their opposition before the month is rounded off with trips to Warrington Wolves and Catalans Dragons.<\/p>\n

Swift joins an injury list that includes Niall Evalds, Jack Murchie and Liam Sutcliffe and Robinson has outlined his frustration.<\/p>\n

Huddersfield Giants injury blow<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s one that\u2019s been a big disappointment because he\u2019s crucial to what we do is Swifty,\u201d Robinson said in his press conference, per BBC Sport West Yorkshire. \u201cHe has a calf injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo we played against Leigh on Thursday, brought them in Saturday and spent time together on Saturday then gave them Sunday and we started training again during that week. He trained Monday, absolutely fine, off Tuesday and then he came Wednesday nothing wrong with him.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of a sudden in the warm up, we\u2019d not even done anything, he said his calf felt really tight\u2026 another calf.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe went to have it scanned and he\u2019s torn it. He\u2019ll be out for the next two or three weeks minimum.\u201d<\/p>\n

Given the sheer amount of calf issues, Huddersfield have had to contend with this season, Robinson insists the Giants will be examining why the injury has occurred.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s another calf which obviously we\u2019re looking into again and looking at his loading patterns,\u201d Robinson added. \u201cHe had a bit of time of the week before, his kids were ill and he was poorly so he\u2019s had staggered training over the last few weeks but there was nothing really to determine that should happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
