As of June 2025, Canon\u2019s dual-fisheye lenses and software can natively produce media in Vision Pro formats. The full-frame\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usa.canon.com\/shop\/p\/rf5-2mm-f2-8-l-dual-fisheye\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RF5.2 mm F2.8 L Dual Fisheye<\/a>\u00a0and APS-C\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usa.canon.com\/shop\/p\/rf-s3-9mm-f3-5-stm-dual-fisheye\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RF-S 3.9 mm F3.5 STM Dual Fisheye<\/a>\u00a0now output APMP video, while the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usa.canon.com\/shop\/p\/rf-s7-8mm-f4-stm-dual\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RF-S 7.8 mm F4 STM Dual<\/a>\u00a0handles Apple\u2019s new Spatial Photo still format. Image credit: Canon<\/p>\n<p>At\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/0_DjDdfqtUE?t=3983\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WWDC 2025<\/a>, Apple introduced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/os\/visionos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">visionOS 26<\/a> with built-in APMP and Spatial Photo support. Canon\u2019s update arrived in tandem: EOS VR Utility now converts 180\u00b0 stereoscopic footage (8 192 \u00d7 4 096 frame, ~4 096 \u00d7 4 096 per eye) into APMP QuickTime files viewable in Apple\u2019s native player. Spatial-photo export already works on the EOS R7 and new R50 V (May 2025) with the RF-S 7.8 Dual, and a July 2025 firmware patch will extend the feature to the entry-level EOS R50. EOS VR Utility stitches, encodes depth, and now exports APMP (video) or Spatial Photo (still) files \u2013 turning a familiar EOS body into a Vision Pro camera.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Competing 3D Solutions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive 8K.<\/strong>\u00a0The dedicated\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackmagicdesign.com\/products\/ursacinemaimmersive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">URSA Cine Immersive<\/a>\u00a0uses dual 12 K sensors to deliver true 8K-per-eye at up to 90 fps, supposedly already shipping (?) for about $29,995.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Apple\u2019s prototype 8K stereo camera.<\/strong>\u00a0Shown in internal Vision Pro productions but not commercially available. Canon\u2019s collaboration positions its EOS lineup as the most approachable capture option for Vision Pro storytellers.
