Tottenham Hotspur fans will be very excited with what one senior coach has said about Luka Vuskovic ahead of the defender\u2019s linkup with the Spurs squad for the first time this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The young centre-back would have been waiting for the opportunity to showcase his quality at Hotspur Way<\/a> from the time he signed for the Lilywhites two years ago, and having turned 18, he will now finally get the chance to do so this summer.<\/p>\n

The Croat came on leaps and bounds during his loan spell at Westerlo last season, with reports indicating that the Spurs decision-makers have been very impressed with Vuskovic\u2019s development<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Vuskovic made his senior debut for Croatia earlier this week,<\/a> which is further evidence of just how highly he is thought of in his home country.<\/p>\n

HNK Gorica manager Mario Carevic, who has watched the Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> defender from a young age, has now revealed that Luka Vuskovic was always cut from a different cloth from the rest.<\/p>\n

He insisted that Vuskovic<\/a> is blessed with leadership qualities that cannot be taught, and revealed that the youngster possesses a skillset that one rarely sees in centre-halves.<\/p>\n

Carevic told Sportske Novosti<\/a> (as relayed by Sport Witness<\/a>): \u201cI\u2019ve have known Luka practically since birth and he has a specific character. He has great leadership qualities, he was a leader in the Hajduk juniors and is three years younger than all his teammates. You have to have the courage to impose yourself as a leader.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs for his playing qualities, he has incredible technique, excellent with both feet, and reacts in a completely different way than other defenders in some situations where he doesn\u2019t take risks. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou can see his total security and control of all those situations. He also has a good feeling for the goal. He is the future of Croatian football, he is a miracle.<\/p>\n

\u201cI talked to a lot of scouts from big clubs when he was leaving Hajduk. They said that this leadership trait cannot be learned, you have to be born with it. As a coach, I always like to have a centre-back who leads, who talks a lot, who is assertive, and he, regardless of his age, is already doing that in senior football.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mario Carevic reveals big clubs want to sign Vuskovic this summer<\/p>\n

It was reported a week ago that Luka Vuskovic is attracting loan interest from the Bundesliga this summer<\/a> as Tottenham contemplate his next move.<\/p>\n

Carevic has now shared that some big clubs from Belgium are also keen on having the centre-back on board for the 2025-26 season in light of how he performed at Westerlo.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI know that all the big clubs from Belgium want him, Club Brugge wanted him already halfway through the season. The only question is what Tottenham will decide, whether it is good for him to change leagues or not.\u201d<\/p>\n
