Wrexham linked to ex-United star<\/p>\n
Christian Eriksen has emerged as an unlikely transfer target for Wrexham this summer, following the Dragons\u2019 promotion from League One.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s suggestions that Eriksen wants to play outside of England from now on. Whether that means a return to his native Denmark, a move to the MLS, or anywhere in Europe or even the Middle East maybe, remains to be seen.<\/p>\n
Already this summer, it\u2019s been confirmed that Wrexham want to sign experienced players, in a transfer policy that has so far served manager Phil Parkinson very well with promotions in each of the last three seasons.<\/p>\n
Along with Eriksen, Wrexham have been linked with Jamie Vardy who is also becoming a free agent, whilst Jonny Evans and Tom Cairney have both been mentioned alongside potential moves to the Racecourse as well.<\/p>\n
Liverpool agree Florian Wirtz deal<\/p>\n
Liverpool have agreed a fee of \u20ac136.3million (\u00a3116m) to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, according to The Athletic.<\/p>\n
The fee is comprised of a \u20ac117.5m (\u00a3100m) upfront fee with a further \u20ac18.8m (\u00a316m) in add-ons, with Wirtz expected to sign a five-year deal at Anfield.<\/p>\n
It represents a club record fee for Liverpool and a potential British record transfer, should the add-ons be activated.<\/p>\n
Villa make progress over wonderkid<\/p>\n
Aston Villa have opened talks with Real Betis over a deal for Jes\u00fas Rodriguez, according to Fabrizio Romano.<\/p>\n
He is being eyed by several clubs but Villa have seized the initiative and could strike a deal soon.<\/p>\n
Gyokeres speaks about future<\/p>\n
Viktor Gy\u00f6keres has said he will talk about his future “when the time is right,” hitting out at reports over an ongoing rift between him and his club, Sporting.<\/p>\n
Gy\u00f6keres, 27, wrote on Instagram: “There is a lot of talk at the moment, most of it is false. I will speak when the time is right.”<\/p>\n
Sporting CP president Frederico Varandas insisted this week his club had not received any offers for Gy\u00f6keres but that they would only consider bids of at least \u20ac80m ($92m)<\/p>\n
He added: “We knew Viktor’s dream was to go to a club where he could fight for the Champions League, and we have common sense. We guaranteed that we would not demand the \u20ac100m.”<\/p>\n
