Mike Perry is keeping himself on the straight and narrow in an effort to maximize his career opportunities and avoid a \u2018career spiral\u2019 like Conor McGregor.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Perry and McGregor have a love-hate relationship<\/a>, with the Irishman recently demanding he \u2018come home\u2019 following a lengthy absence. This was despite \u2018firing\u2019 Perry<\/a> when he lost to Jake Paul<\/a> in a boxing match last year.<\/p>\n

Now, \u2018Platinum\u2019 is looking to make a return to action, but is also focusing on his promotional work with Dirty Boxing Championship. DBX\u2019s second full event takes place at the Hangar Miami tomorrow night; Friday June 14. Tickets are\u00a0available here<\/a>\u00a0and fans can\u00a0watch live on YouTube here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mike Perry insists he \u2018still has a job\u2019 at BKFC after amid Conor McGregor\u2019s \u2018spiral\u2019<\/p>\n

Conor McGregor<\/a> hasn\u2019t competed in over four years, and has since become more notorious for his partying. Mike Perry<\/a>, on the other hand, has spent the last few years building himself into a marketable star far beyond what would have been thought possible in the UFC.<\/p>\n

\u201cI definitely still have my job,\u201d Perry laughed before launching into a sarcastic diatribe about his rival\u2019s career. \u201cHe did a great movie. He\u2019s touched a lot of bases in business and he\u2019s been all over the place even getting over Cristiano Ronaldo on the Forbes list.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t argue with that and the guy has done incredible things. It was all his build-up in his early UFC days that got him to this point. I had an incredible build-up and I\u2019m having lots of opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m trying to stay on track and focused. When my opportunities come, I\u2019m staying ready for them. I stay focused so as not to have the same spiral he had in his career. I\u2019m sure he\u2019s working on the right side of things and trying to build himself back up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mike Perry would be open to Conor McGregor fight if it became possible<\/p>\n

Perry and McGregor did face off back in 2023 after his win over Eddie Alvarez<\/a>, but of course the fight couldn\u2019t materialize. The Irishman is locked into the UFC\u2019s most lucrative contract, and is unable to take fights elsewhere.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe might not ever see him fight again but he says he wants to,\u201d Perry explained. \u201cHe\u2019s still owned by the UFC but he\u2019s working and promoting BKFC. An incredible matchup is for me and Conor to fight in BKFC, maybe some day he can get some practice in the ring.<\/p>\n

\u201cOtherwise he doesn\u2019t get any practice and he thinks he can fight me in bare knuckle without having ever been in there. Right now, those things aren\u2019t happening but I\u2019m looking forward to it and excited about it.
