A third person has died following a crash on the A36 two weeks ago which claimed the life of a man who lived near Bristol.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, May 31, at around 10.30am, a red Toyota Prius and three Vespas were involved in a crash at Knook, near Warminster.<\/p>\n
A rider of a Vespa, Robert Best, 62 and of Bradley Stoke<\/a>, was declared dead at the scene.<\/p>\n He was travelling with a friend to Normandy at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n Rob was described as a “good husband, father, son, brother and friend” in a tribute.<\/p>\n Days later, on June 5, a woman in her 60s, who was riding pillion on a second Vespa, died in hospital.<\/p>\n A third person, a man in his 60s, was the rider of the third Vespa.<\/p>\n He died from his injuries in hospital yesterday evening (Thursday, June 12).<\/p>\n It means that a person riding on each of the Vespas has now died.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “His next of kin are aware and our thoughts are with his family.”<\/p>\n Wiltshire Police said: “We continue to appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage of the incident as our enquiries into the collision<\/a> continue.<\/p>\n “If you witnessed the collision, and we haven\u2019t yet spoken to you, please contact Wiltshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 quoting log number 101 of May 31.<\/p>\n![\"Rob](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1749863665_647_0_AD_02-06-2025_robbest.jpg\")
