Manchester United<\/a> have suffered a transfer blow as one club has pulled out of the race to sign Alejandro Garnacho<\/a>, according to reports.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Argentine winger is set to leave United after being dropped from the starting line-up for the team’s Europa League<\/a> final defeat by Tottenham<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n

Alejandro subsequently branded United’s season ‘s***’, while his agent brother claimed he had been ‘thrown under the bus’ by manager Ruben Amorim<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mail Sport revealed last month that Amorim responded to Garnacho’s comments by telling him to find a new club in front of his team-mates at United’s training ground.<\/p>\n

There is no lack of interest in Garnacho, but he is unlikely to leave the Red Devils on the cheap with United slapping a \u00a370m price-tag on the 20-year-old.<\/p>\n

However, this now appears to have caused issue for United with reports claiming that Bayer Leverkusen – who were reportedly interested – are not willing to pay that.<\/p>\n

Erik ten Hag’s Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Garnacho\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sky Germany<\/a> report that the ‘package of transfer fee and wages’ mean that any deal is unlikely and that the German side are exploring other options.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A move to Leverkusen would have seen Garnacho reunited with ex-United boss Erik ten Hag in Germany.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Garnacho is viewed as one of United’s sellable assets this summer given his age, while he also still has three years remaining on his contract.<\/p>\n

Amorim wants a major squad overhaul, with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho also in line to follow Garnacho out the exit door.<\/p>\n

United have already made one signing this summer after they completed a \u00a362.5m deal for Matheus Cunha on the opening day of the transfer window.<\/p>\n

They are also pursuing Bryan Mbeumo and Viktor Gyokeres as Amorim bids to bolster his attacking options.<\/p>\n

Mbeumo and Gyokeres could both cost in excess of \u00a360m, meaning United need to raise funds in sales, and Garnacho could bring in a significant transfer fee.\u00a0<\/p>\n
