Meanwhile, describing Labour as \u2018the worst negotiators in history\u2019, Nigel Farage called the agreement \u2018yet another surrender\u2019.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Vox declared that \u2018Gibraltar is a territory illegally colonised by the UK\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But Spain\u2019s right-wing parties have, if possible, been even more damning. Jos\u00e9 Manuel Garc\u00eda-Margallo, a former Minister of Foreign Affairs, described the agreement as \u2018total surrender\u2019, the \u2018absolute renunciation\u2019 of Spain\u2019s political and economic sovereignty over the Rock.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018All the British companies that want to settle in the EU post-Brexit will now go to Gibraltar,\u2019 he predicted, asking rhetorically who will now invest in Spain\u2019s neighbouring territory.
