Recently, many users have been left shocked after 1Fit has announced it\u2019s closing in Malaysia publicly in their socials. <\/p>\n

In the post<\/a>, 1Fit has mentioned that due to insufficient funding, they have initiated a formal liquidation process to wind down operations and settle obligations.<\/p>\n

This meant no longer being able to make new bookings or purchases and memberships can\u2019t be used. <\/p>\n

1Fit also posted a video of their CEO, Murat Alikhanov, making a public announcement on their closing in Malaysia. <\/p>\n

He made it clear that despite multiple attempts in making their business sustain it did not work, therefore they had to cease operations. He also added that users can ask for a refund through the link in their bio. <\/p>\n

We spoke with some of the users<\/p>\n

One of the recent users, Maine, was introduced to 1Fit by a close friend. As someone who enjoys exploring different workout routines, she found the app to be the perfect fit for her diverse fitness need.<\/p>\n

Maine paid RM2.5K for the membership which was supposed to last her 15 months, but as she only started since April, she has only used it for 2.5 months. <\/p>\n

Maine also told that her close friend who has been using 1Fit for almost a year has faced losses. They have completed the refund process and is waiting for further information. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhy still allow people to purchase a day before closing down?\u201d<\/p>\n

Netizens have been throwing their worries in the comment section. Here are some of it. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt is unacceptable that 1Fit continued selling RM2K annual memberships and incentivized KOL\u2019s to recruit new members while allegedly aware of it\u2019s impending shutdown. This is a blatant disregard for consumer rights and ethical business practices\u201d <\/strong> said one of the netizens. <\/p>\n

\u201cLast month they were still sending WhatsApp messages asking me to join the membership as the price was going to increase. Luckily I did not subscribe.\u201d<\/strong> said another. <\/p>\n

Many affected fitness businesses are offering free classes to the users<\/p>\n

Despite suffering losses, many of these businesses are going above and beyond to support users. Some are offering free classes, while others are providing discounts to help ease the burden. <\/p>\n

They\u2019re showing their commitment to the community, even in challenging times. These gestures highlight the industry\u2019s resilience and dedication to its customers. <\/p>\n
