Alejo V\u00e9liz has struggled since leaving Rosario Central for Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023.<\/p>\n

The striker was at the north London club in the first half of the 2023\/24 season and had disappointing loan spells at Sevilla and Espanyol.<\/p>\n

Rosario Central have identified the 21-year-old as the target to improve their attack this summer.<\/p>\n

Four days ago, we covered claims from Argentina<\/a> that Rosario Central made a formal offer to the Tottenham player\u2019s entourage. He\u2019s willing to return and the two parties are waiting to find out what Spurs plan to do with him this summer.<\/p>\n

Journalist Uriel Iugt took to X<\/a>, formerly known as Twitter, to report that Tottenham have rejected the Argentine club\u2019s loan offer as they intend to sell him.<\/p>\n

TyC Sports<\/a> state Rosario Central\u2019s dream of securing V\u00e9liz\u2019s services \u2018fades\u2019 given the Spurs stance.<\/p>\n

The Europa League winners refuse to accept a loan move as they look to sell him with a percentage of a future sale. Therefore, the possibility of V\u00e9liz\u2019s former club signing him even on a paid loan deal is ruled out.<\/p>\n

As Tottenham paid \u20ac17m, Rosario Central feel they can\u2019t even offer a fee to open talks for the frontman. At this moment in time, a move for V\u00e9liz is unlikely despite the desire of both parties.<\/p>\n

If he were to not receive offers until the end of the summer window and Frank leaves him out of his plans, Rosario Central can sign the Argentine on loan.
