The Met Office<\/a> had issued a yellow warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms which covered parts of the region including the Black Country<\/a> and Shropshire from midnight on Friday to 6pm on Saturday (June 14).<\/p>\n

The weather warning has since been lifted for the West Midlands and is now in place in the north, stretching from Bradford in Yorkshire up to the northeast of Scotland.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Though the region may have escaped thunderstorms this weekend, it may be wise to keep your umbrellas on hand as there could still be some rain.<\/p>\n

\"AThere could be some rainfall in the West Midlands today<\/p>\n

According to the Met Office’s weather map, rain could fall across the Black Country and parts of Shropshire including Shrewsbury<\/a>, Telford<\/a> and Bridgnorth<\/a> on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Weather experts have however predicted there will be a brighter start to Sunday in the West Midlands with “plenty of sunshine” – though there could be some showers in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Temperatures are expected to be in the low 20s throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n

In its weather forecast for Monday to Wednesday next week, the Met Office said: “A generally drier and more settled period with plenty of sunny spells, and light patchy rain, mainly confined to the hills.\u00a0<\/p>\n
