Oleksandr Usyk is seriously impressed by sparring partner and MMA champion Yaroslav Amosov.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Usyk is currently in a full training camp as he prepares for a huge undisputed title rematch with Daniel Dubois<\/a> on July 19.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian has been taking on a series of drill and even bringing in sparring partners to give him valuable rounds.<\/p>\n

One of those is Amosov, a Ukrainian MMA<\/a> fighter who has fought under the Bellator banner and carries a professional record of 28-1.<\/p>\n

The pair were pictured together with gloves on and looking exhausted, having likely gone toe-to-toe in some training action.<\/p>\n

Usyk also posted a video of the pair on his social media, clearly enjoying the talented prodigy’s company.<\/p>\n

And while stood next to the rising star, he made a request for Dana White<\/a> to sign him to the UFC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cHey guys, we had sparring experience for world champion from Bellator, Yaroslav Amosov. <\/p>\n

“This is a future world champion, UFC Dana White, please send a contract, bro. I’m serious.”<\/p>\n

Amosov was on a frightening 26-fight winning streak until 2023.<\/p>\n

But he was beaten in emphatic fashion as he was KO’d by Jason Jackson at Bellator 301 in November that year.<\/p>\n

He has since returned to winning ways on CFFC picking up a victory over Curtis Millender in March.<\/p>\n

But the 31-year-old would of course hugely benefit from a lucrative deal with White’s promotion.<\/p>\n

And after departing Bellator, he explained that he intends to sign with the UFC and win a world title.<\/p>\n

He said: “Yes, we have a plan to go to the UFC. <\/p>\n

“I want to show the world I\u2019m a good fighter, and I will be champion. <\/p>\n

“I want to show the defeat it\u2019s just a mistake. I will show this world [it\u2019s a] mistake. <\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve trained with many guys for many years, and I feel I can do this. I will take this belt.\u201d<\/p>\n

Usyk is one of boxing’s modern greats and his request could become realityCredit: AFP<\/p>\n

It is unclear if any interest will materialise and become official, but for now it seems a dream.<\/p>\n

Usyk himself has surprisingly indicated in the past that he’d be open to a switch from boxing to MMA.<\/p>\n
