Mike Tyson’s son knows how a comeback can go – and he is worried Manny Pacquiao could repeat his father’s mistake.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tyson returned to boxing in an astonishing fight at the age of 58, and was beaten by YouTuber-turned boxer Jake Paul<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was a sad ending to his career, and he looked far from any resemblance of his former power-punching self, and took a real health risk.<\/p>\n

There are fears Pacquiao could make the same mistake, after announcing his comeback fight.<\/p>\n

‘Pac Man’ will take on Mario Barrios<\/a> in a WBC welterweight world title fight, far from his prime years at the age of 46.<\/p>\n

Justifiable concerns have been expressed for the Filipino’s health, given he struggled massively in his last exhibition outing with Rukiya Anpo<\/a> in 2024.<\/p>\n

And Tyson’s eldest son Amir, who backed his dad’s own comeback but was left stone-faced, is worried Pacquiao doesn’t get hurt.<\/p>\n

He posted on social media: “I really hope Manny stands his ground and doesn’t get hurt.<\/p>\n

“If this was 2012, I would have no doubt that I [sic] would win. But now I’m not sure, but we’ll see.”<\/p>\n

Unlike Tyson who was against a far less experienced operator in Paul, Pacquiao will come up against a champion in his prime.<\/p>\n

He will be an underdog to win the dangerous contest, but victory would see him become the oldest 147lbs world champion in history.<\/p>\n

But given his physical decline, Pacquiao will certainly find it an uphill challenge.<\/p>\n

Tyson’s son has now lead that worry on social media<\/p>\n

It will be the first professional fight for the veteran since his original retirement in 2020.<\/p>\n

Pacquiao was beaten at the time in what was expected to be his final bow by a dominant display from Yordenis Ugas.<\/p>\n

But he is confident that his latest return will provide a much different outcome.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fire, determination and eagerness to work hard is still there. I\u2019m still enjoying running the mountains,” he said. <\/p>\n

“Not every fighter has this feeling. This is a blessing, because I\u2019ve been through so many big fights in my career and I\u2019m still here. I\u2019m back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been able to rest my body and it\u2019s been good for me. Now I\u2019m back and I\u2019m excited to give the fans a great fight. <\/p>\n

“I know that Barrios is training hard to defend his belt. I\u2019m the challenger, so I know I have to go the extra mile and punish myself in training to win the fight. That\u2019s the goal.<\/p>\n
