A popular star that was set to take the stage at Glastonbury Festival<\/a> this month, has announced their decision to pull out of the line-up, as well as cancelling their shows for the rest of 2025, citing mental health reason.<\/p>\n

In an emotional Instagram post, Bru-C told fans: “This is a really difficult thing for me to post, and one I was really hoping I wouldn\u2019t have to. I\u2019m really sorry to announce I\u2019m going to have to cancel all of my upcoming show commitments for 2025.”<\/p>\n

The rapper, who is from Nottingham<\/a>, shared earlier this month that he had to cancel eight of his shows in the United States due to poor health.<\/p>\n

Real name Josh Bruce, he has been popular within the UK music scene since releasing his first EP in 2015, and was scheduled to perform a highly-anticipated set at Glastonbury’s Arcadia area.<\/p>\n

He’s had charting hits including No Excuses, as well as two platinum-selling-singles, but shared with fans he would not be able to attend the iconic festival.<\/p>\n

“Many of you know I\u2019ve been struggling with mental health issues for some time now,” he wrote on social media.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve tried my best to bury things and keep my life and career moving forward.<\/p>\n

“What I\u2019ve been going through has got gradually worse over the last few years and I need to take another step back and try to get back to some kind of stable peace in my life.”<\/p>\n

He acknowledged that many of his fans may be disappointed in his decision, but said that this time away was necessary for his wellbeing<\/p>\n

He said: “The last thing I want to do is let people down, especially those who have spent hard-earned money to come and see me.<\/p>\n

“But I need to take this time to recover and get my life and health back on track.”<\/p>\n

However, he assured fans that he is “seeking the right help and support” and this he is prioritising to “just be better”. Although he said he was unsure when he’ll return to the music scene.<\/p>\n

Fans and artists flocked to the comments to share their support for Bru-C following his announcement.<\/p>\n

He is not the only Glastonbury act that has had to cancel shows, with headliner Sir Rod Stewart<\/a> cancelling six shows in the United States ahead of the festival.<\/p>\n

“I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu,” he announced on Instagram.<\/p>\n

“So sorry my friends.<\/p>\n

“I’m devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I’ll be back on stage and will see you soon.”<\/p>\n
