Although they never met, Diana and Kate\u2019s sense of fashion is certainly something they would have had in common<\/a> if their paths had ever crossed. From Royal Ascot finery to state dinner show-stoppers, the pair share a knack for chic and impeccable dressing.<\/p>\n

Middleton continues to draw inspiration from her archive of outfits, often breathing new life into the late Princess\u2019s ensembles. She has also inherited some of Princess Diana\u2019s most memorable pieces of jewelry<\/a>, including, of course, her sapphire engagement ring<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Trooping The Colour is a ceremonial parade celebrating the official birthday of the British Monarch. The event features over 1,400 soldiers and officers, accompanied by 200 horses. More than 400 musicians from ten different bands and Corps of Drums march and while performing.<\/p>\n

For Trooping the Colour, she wore a set of earrings inherited from the late Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>. Glittering at Kate’s lobes were the Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings, which the then Princess Elizabeth created from a cache of seven pearls, which she received as a wedding present in 1947 from the Hakim of Bahrain. The earrings are comprised of round diamond studs, from which are suspended round and baguette-cut diamonds in an Art Deco style, plus two of of the Bahrain pearls. In 1982, the Queen loaned the earrings to Princess Diana, who appeared to like them just as much, often teaming them with Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara, which was another favourite.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Princess Charlotte of Wales and Kate Middleton during Trooping The Colour 2025 on June 14, 2025.
