Tottenham Hotspur are set for a legal battle against Jim Ratcliffe and Manchester United owners INEOS over a multi-million-pound partnership which the multinational conglomerate\u00a0now wants to renege on.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sir Jim Ratcliffe\u2019s INEOS, who own 25 per cent of Man United, announced a multi-million-pound, five-year deal with Spurs in December 2022 to promote INEOS Grenadier car as the club\u2019s \u2018official 4\u00d74 vehicle partner\u2019.<\/p>\n

However, it emerged earlier this year that talks were underway to end the sponsorship deal between Spurs and INEOS<\/a> two years before it runs out, with the United owners having to undertake major cost-cutting measures due to financial pressures.<\/p>\n

It turns out that talks have been ongoing since February, and with the two parties unable to find a solution, with Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> now taking legal action.<\/p>\n

According to The Telegraph<\/a>, with the negotiations no closer to reaching an agreement, Spurs<\/a> took High Court legal action on June 12.<\/p>\n

The North London club have lodged a claim against INEOS Automotive Limited in a commercial listing under \u201cgeneral commercial contracts and arrangements\u201d.<\/p>\n

Tottenham are not the only ones to launch a complaint against Man United\u2019s owners, with the outlet claiming that New Zealand Rugby have also taken legal action against Ineos for an alleged breach of contract after a six-year deal.<\/p>\n

Spurs are battling Man United in the transfer market as well<\/p>\n

It is not just in the courtroom where Daniel Levy<\/a> and Sir Jim Ratcliffe may go head to head this summer, but also in the transfer market.<\/p>\n

It has been widely reported over the last 24 hours that Spurs are trying to hijack Man United\u2019s move to Bryan Mbeumo<\/a> after Thomas Frank was confirmed as their head coach.<\/p>\n

In fact, some sources have even alleged that Tottenham have tabled a \u00a370m offer for Mbeumo<\/a>, which is considerably more than what the Red Devils have offered Brentford for the player.<\/p>\n
